Yankees Turn Routine 4-6-5-6-5-3-4, 14-Second Triple Play Against Orioles

Let’s face it, if you’re one of the few people baseball announcers refer to as “scoring at home,” you’re probably not scoring at home (wink wink). However, if you happened to be scoring last night’s Yankees/Orioles 14-second-inning-ending-rundown-party, you probably nearly fell out of that recliner you haven’t left since 1987. Here’s 4-6-5-6-5-3-4 long hand: Cano to Nix to Youkilis to Nix to Youkilis to Overbay to Cano. Bad base running? Sure. Great excuse to get out of that recliner? Definitely.

The Yankees went on to win their fourth straight, besting Baltimore 5-2 behind a solid C.C. Sabathia start and Kevin Youkilis’s extended 10 game hit-streak.
